About the Role
Full-time | $70,000 – $75,000 per year
As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standards, adhering to recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff scheduling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
- Collaborate effectively with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to ongoing menu development and special event planning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Proven experience in high-volume pub service is highly desirable.
- Strong culinary skills, including knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Passion for utilizing fresh, high-quality ingredients to create exceptional dishes.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A strong team player with a positive and collaborative attitude.
- Current food safety and hygiene certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
